I had an amazing day on Monday at Blenheim Palace doing the makeup on a video shoot for Ellie Sanderson. We had 74 gorgeous wedding dresses to film and take stills of- quite a tight schedule but the day ran extremely smoothly thanks to the amazing organisational skills of Helen Masters- event planner extrordinaire!

The Orangery at Blenheim was the perfect setting with spectacular warm light coming in from the huge windows. Paul Liczbinski and his team have THE most incredible venue at Blenheim. Everywhere you turn it is stunningly beautiful.

Electric Hairdressing salon from Oxford were on hand to do the models hair. Steve created the amazing styles. I love working with other hairdressers to gain tips and believe me he had so many! He has just been written about in the hairdressing trade magazine showcased as hairdressings next big thing. He is uber talented. Louise Martinez the salon owner came and said ‘hi’ and joined in with the frivolity.

The fabulous Charlie Jennings -makeup artist and I had a great time with the models, Adele, Sarah and Claire all from Flair Talent. We started with a natural soft look and finished the shoot with a Gatsby-esq smoky eye and bright red lips.  The models did a great job, they must have walked miles, up and down the aisle, but their smiles just got bigger!

Ellie Sanderson and her girls were all very busy dressing the models and making sure they had all the perfect accessories. Dresses were from Sassi Holford, Claire Pettibone, Alan Hann, Eliza Jane Howell, Jenny Packham. There were so many beautiful accessories from www.elliesweddingaccessories.co.uk.All the dresses can be brought from Ellie Sanderson in Oxford or Beaconsfield.

David Bostock was taking all the still photographs which looked amazing with Blenheim as the backdrop.

We were filmed for a behind the scenes video by Mark Shiperley. I’m looking forward to watching the completed film.Tom Editor and his team were  the genius’s behind the filming. They were so professional I kept thinking I had gone to sleep and woken up in Hollywood!

The day was very full on and busy but great fun too. We  managed after shoot drinks in Woodstock which was a fab end to a superb day. This really was the dream team.. I’m really excited about working with them all again soon.

I will post some more photos soon. I hope you like them!
